The Razer Blade 15 Gaming Laptop doesn’t undergo many changes yearly because why mess with a winning formula? The design has been slightly improved, but nothing major has been altered.

For instance, the 15.6-inch Blade 15 for 2022 now features laser-cut speaker grills and slightly larger keycaps, and the power button is now located in the upper-right corner of the keyboard rather than on the right speaker.

A decent option for you might be the Razer Blade Pro 17. However, the general appearance and feel of the Razer Blade 15 haven’t changed much from previous versions. 

Razer Blade 15 Gaming Laptop Review

The Razer Blade 15 (2022) is the brand’s renowned gaming laptop’s most recent update, and it is undoubtedly one of the greatest gaming and Virtual DJ Laptops to be introduced this year, even though the price is still prohibitive.

The Razer Blade 15 (2021) is significantly outperformed by the refresh, which has brand-new Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti, Intel Alder Lake mobile processors, Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPUs, and DDR5 RAM. However, that performance reaches the cost of battery life, which is virtually nonexistent due to the 105W TGP GPU and the ravenous Alder Lake processor.

Design

The Razer Blade 15 (2022) is the MacBook of gaming laptops if there is one thing you can say about it. The Blade 15’s excellent design has remained the same over the years. Given the gear it is carrying beneath the lid, it is an incredible feat that the form factor is as small and compact as ever.

The comfortable keyboard and the all-black anodized CNC aluminum finish are still stunning. The Blade 15’s RGB on the keys is more subdued than with many other gaming laptops, which is a positive in our eyes, and the speakers, which are thankfully firing and have THX Spatial Audio, sound terrific.

The Blade 15 has many ports, so you can use all the Razer accessories you’ve accumulated over the years. The screen space is generous, and the display has a sharp appearance thanks to the small top bezels. Another drawback of the lower-end systems is that Nvidia G-Sync is sadly only available on QHD monitors.

Thankfully, the IR webcam for Windows Hello supports full 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, there is no physical privacy switch, which should be a requirement for every webcam by this point.

Performance

It is impossible to dispute the Razer Blade 15 (2022)’s pure gaming performance. The Blade 15 (2022) performs 62 percent better than its predecessor in Cinebench R23’s multi-core performance thanks to the 12th-generation Intel Alder Lake processor the Razer Blade 15 (2021) model did.

Even in our 3DMark testing, the Blade 15 (2022) significantly outperformed its predecessor, with a 3DMark Night Raid score of 52,393 compared to the Blade 15 (2021)’s 26,303.

Given that the 2021 model we examined had an RTX 3080 while the 2022 model we tested had an RTX 3070 Ti, the improvements in Firestrike (to 24,150 from 19,188) and Times Spy (to 10,526 from 8,666) are more modest but still impressive.

The RTX 3070 Ti also used 105W of TGP, which put it on par with the RTX 3080 mobile GPU from the previous model year. This laptop runs pretty freaking hot thanks to all that power and the tiny form factor, so make sure there’s plenty of air while gaming and set it up on a table or desk rather than your lap.

Comparison

Therefore, we will grant the Razer Blade 15 (2022) which is undoubtedly powerful, along with all of our battery life. Gaming laptops aren’t exactly known for their endurance, but it’s been a while since we witnessed a laptop with a battery life of fewer than three hours.

Razer Blade 14 Includes an integrated HDMI 2.1 port, USB-C (2 ports), USB-A (2 ports), and Wi-Fi 6E for maximum connection and accessory compatibility. With a 50% increase in speed over the previous generation, the Razer Blade 15 offers a quicker, more fluid experience while opening programs, playing games, and carrying out other common PC operations.

How I Tested Razer Blade 15?

The Blade 15 (2022) only lasted two hours 49 minutes in our PC Mark 10 battery life test, and it is far even worse in our FHD movie battery life test, lasting only two hours 43 minutes. This contrasts with the Razer Blade 15’s the impressively long battery life of six hours, sixteen minutes, and five hours, thirty minutes, respectively (2021).

As long as you give the intake fan some breathing area, this device does an excellent job of keeping it cool when performing your typical internet, YouTube, Netflix, Word, and Excel browsing (my solution was using a laptop tray with a built-in fan).

Although the Ryzen 9 hype and other factors haven’t done much to enhance battery life, being always plugged in is not a significant concern to get the greatest performance out of this laptop for productivity or gaming.

To Conclude

I adore this High-Quality Laptop’s versatility. I use razer blade 15 plugged in, so it still functions even if the battery life is just three to four hours. The three are all excellent: coding, gaming, and browsing. It doesn’t even examine like a gaming laptop; it is gorgeous to look at, slim, and light.

Although rather expensive, you get what you pay for with the superior build quality comparable to MacBooks.
